Competitor Research

There is no need to re-invent the wheel, the website which is ranked #1 for your keyword tells you exactly what you need to know!

Competitor Research

Competitor research is an analysis of a competing website within a client's industry. This may not be an obvious well known competitor, but is defined as a website that ranks highly for certain suitable keywords.

Google and the internet is basically a computer. So all things being equal if the top ranking website for your keyword has 10 links, 10 pages and an overall internet presence of a 100 other website mentions, if we simply replicate this pattern, then all things being equal, your website would rank in a similar position.

Example Competitor Analysis Summary

  • Compare competitors to improved client site
  • List and implement improvements to narrow the gap between websites
  • Analysis of strengths and weaknesses of current and potential competitors

Unfortunately it is not always as simple as this, but competitor research does provide useful online marketing targets and milestones.

What we often produce afterwards if appropriate is an analysis of: a) where they are now, b) how they got there and c) what improvements can be made moving forward. I think after the phone call you will see why we are one of the very best SEO analysts, advisors, technicians and experts both in London and across the UK.

SEO reviews from Benedict

"From the very start we knew that Benedict was the right SEO company for us. Not only did they avoid all jargon, they quietly got on with the work and we watched our two websites appear from nowhere to page 1 on Google. As a business, we have been going for over a 100 years and now Benedict has taken our company to new levels. Their ideas and their execution are faultless and they always work more hours than they are contracted to. They take great pride in their work and are a joy to work with.""
